The Kosher iPhone buyer's guide

Honest guidance on which plan fits which household. No hard sell — real tradeoffs.

Question 1 — How many devices?

One phone? Essential or Premium. Two or more? Family.

A Family plan isn't just a volume discount — it's shared policy management. Standardize your family's app whitelist, coordinate bedtime/Shabbos locks across devices, upgrade phones together with consistent configuration.

Single-phone buyers should look at Essential unless they want priority support or concierge onboarding (then Premium).

Question 2 — How often will you need new apps?

If you're a working professional with evolving app needs (banking upgrades, new business tools, travel apps), Premium's same-day response matters.

If you're a bochur/seminary student with a stable, minimal app list, Essential's 24-hour response window is plenty.

If you manage a family where different members have different needs, Family is the right fit — one contact, multiple policies.

Question 3 — How tech-comfortable are you?

Very comfortable? Any plan works. You can text requests, check our management console, and self-serve most questions.

Not comfortable? Premium includes a concierge onboarding call. A real human walks you through what your setup looks like, takes your preferences verbally, and configures everything on your behalf. By the time the phone arrives, you're just turning it on.

Between? Essential is still very low-touch. Most customers never call — they text if they need anything.

Question 4 — What's your risk tolerance?

If you're worried about a tech-savvy teen trying to bypass restrictions, the real protection is the **Supervised Mode + MDM architecture itself**, not the plan. All plans include full supervision. Essential and Premium are equally bypass-proof.

What differs across plans is the ongoing management responsiveness — how fast we react to requests, which devices are covered, how much hand-holding you get.

Question 5 — Budget considerations

Essential is the floor: $499 upfront + monthly management. Premium adds priority and concierge. Family is custom-priced based on device count.

Over three years, Essential is typically $1,100–$1,400 total. Premium is $1,500–$1,800. Family varies by device count, often $2,500–$4,000 for a 3-device household over 3 years.

Compare that to: a 3-year-old iPhone unmanaged ($0 ongoing), a basic content filter ($300–$500/year plus periodic re-setups), or a flip phone ($200 total but no iPhone utility). We're not the cheapest option. We're the only truly enforceable one.
